August 29, 1936 – October 11, 2020

LeBLANC, Alphonse – Age 84 of Grosses Coques, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Grosses Coques, he was a son of the late Denis and Thérèse (Dugas) LeBlanc.
After retiring from Bowater, Alphonse remained very active for many years. He spent most days in nature, logging, clam digging and hunting. He loved listening to bluegrass, especially at bluegrass festivals and watching Ox Pulls at the exhibition and on Youtube.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rita; children, Gary (Marguerite), Church Point; Arlene (Mark) O’Shaughnessy, Comeauville; brothers, Gerald (the late Flora), Grosses Coques; Laurent, Montréal; Normand (Marilyn), Church Point; sisters, Grace (the late Edwin) Comeau, Grosses Coques; Rose-Marie (Herbert) Boudreau, Grosses Coques; grandchildren, Lyette, Robert, Ryan; and many nieces and nephews.
As per Alphonse’s request, cremation has taken place under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home, and no service will be held.
Donations in memory of Alphonse may be made to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital Charitable Foundation.
He will be greatly missed.
