Obituary
The family of Jean Edna (Thompson) Kilpatrick, beloved wife of the late Ora Kilpatrick, announce her passing which occurred on October 10, 2020 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Barnesville, NB, on May 5, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Walter B. and Georgina (Rodgers) Thompson.
She is survived by her daughters; Mary Gillespie and Dawn Dugay (Edward), her sisters; Betty Brown, Shirley Simpson and Winnie Cooper, sisters-in-law; Pauline Kincade and Barb Fowler, her grandchildren; Kirk, John, Kelly and Paul, great-grandchildren; Taylor, Alex and Willow along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband Ora, she was predeceased by her son-in-law Mike Gillespie, brother Walter Thompson, sisters; Mildred Griese, Margaret Scott and Gladys Duplissea.
She enjoyed quilting and gardening. Over the years she was an active member of St Barnabas Church where she was involved with the ACW and the WI. She was active with the Seniors Centre and enjoyed dances at the Hammond River and Hampton Hoedowners and the City Market Seniors. Above all else, her family was the most important part of her life.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday from 3-8 pm. The graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15th at 1:00 pm, at St Barnabas Cemetery, Barnesville. Please note masks are required for the visitation. For those who wish, remembrances to the St Barnabas Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
