Abigail Joan Murray
Abigail Joan Murray, 91, of
Riverview, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday,
September 30, 2020.
Born in St. Anthony, she was the
daughter of the late Gordon and Glenna (Colborne)
Murray.
Joan was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was retired from retail
sales and was a long-time member of Highfield St. Baptist Church. Joan
was a member of the Agappa Class, the Young at Heart Group within the
Church, a Dominion Life Member of the UBWMU and Little Lights
Co-ordinator.
Joan will be sadly missed by her
children, Gail Chartrand of Riverview, Phyllis Murray, Linda-Joan
Robichaud (Hubert) and Donna Carpenter and David Carpenter, all of
Moncton; grandchildren, René, Nicole, Laurianne (Fernand
Vautour), Andrew and Abigail; great grandchildren, Emilie (Nick
Jones), Naomi, Maisey, Chloe, Joseph, R. Jesse and Gabriel; sister,
Marion Platt of Moncton; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Pierce (Robert) of
Cambridge, ON and Amy Murray of Corunna, ON, as well as several
nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
In addition to her parents, she
was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Murray (1980); sister, Ruby and
brothers, Russell and Bruce; sisters-in-law, Olga Murray, Roberta
Murray and Ann Murray.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral
Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 7:00 to
9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Joan’s life will
be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 3,
2020 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Gary Barr and René Robichaud
officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Social Distancing
restrictions must be observed and masks must be worn within the
Funeral Home, as per the family’s request. To view the
