Obituary
Brian Wickham
July 8, 1970 – September 27, 2020
On Sunday, September 27, 2020, Brian Wickham, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away at the young age of 50. A warm and beautiful fall day will forever be remembered as the day Brian lost his short and private battle with cancer. Brian is predeceased by his mother Betty, and leaves behind his father Wilf, his step-mother Judy, his brother Wayne, and many friends and colleagues.
Originally from London, Ontario, Brian had been living in Ottawa for the last 5 years. A graduate of Humber College, Brian was a career broadcast system designer and a well-respected legend in the broadcast engineering industry. Brian loved big Sunday breakfasts, boating, cycling, snow shoeing, kayaking, building, fixing, and tending to his garden. A self-proclaimed “cat person”, he will be greatly missed by a dog named Blake, his family as well as his many friends and colleagues.
In accordance with his wishes, no funeral services are planned. Special thanks to the staff of the Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Unit. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society can be made in his Brian’s name.
