Jonathan Wyder September 23 2020

Obituary
WYDER, Jonathan
On June 23, 1996 Doug and Carole were blessed with a beautiful baby boy. They had him to love for 24 years. Jonathan suddenly passed away at home on September 23, 2020. Jonathan will be lovingly remembered and missed by his parents, his sisters Lindsay (Jeremy), Carly (Jake), and Lauren. He will also be missed by his grandparents Philip and Marlene Alexiuk, Margaret and Gordon Froese, his Aunts and Uncles, Chuck and Shannon Wyder, Pat and Joe Neniska, Bruce and Cheryl Wyder, Diane and Arnie Kardal, Mark and Philippa Alexiuk, Lynne-Rae and Alan Couling, Lynda and Brian Lemay, Trent Gruenke and Shelley Kowaluk, Krista Kristjanson, and numerous cousins. Jonathan was predeceased by his grandparents John and Helen Wyder, and his uncle Allan Alexiuk. Jonathan grew up in Saskatoon and graduated from Holy Cross High School. He loved canoeing and hiking with his friends. He and his friend Jean recently canoed from Outlook to Saskatoon on the Saskatchewan River. He had fond memories from rowing with the Saskatoon Rowing Club where he made many lifelong friends. Jonathan enjoyed summers at his family cabin at Black Sturgeon Lake, where he spent every summer with his cousins, fishing, swimming, camping and cliff jumping. Family was very important to Jonathan. He was very grateful for everything he had, and what he had he was always willing to share with others in need. It was no surprise when he gave the jacket off his back to someone he saw shivering in the street. He was a very kind, generous, and a giving young man who took care of those around him and will be missed dearly. Thank you to the Saskatoon Fire Department, paramedics, and the Saskatoon Police Service for their exceptional care and compassion, with special regard to Sergeant Matt and Officer Brooke. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. For those who wish to attend, live-streaming will be available at youtu.be/Z53Xp4Slf2g .
