Obituary of Allan Andrew Weber
September 25, 1936 – September 18, 2020
Allan Andrew Weber passed away September 18, 2020 at Joseph Creek Care Village, at the age of 83 years old.
Allan was born in Calgary, Alberta to Joseph and Clara Weber, he was one of 7 children. He loved growing up in a large family and worked for his dad at the Fernie Free Press. Fernie is where he met his best friend Rita Vellone, in 1964, and they became husband and wife in 1965. Soon after they decided to move to Saskatoon, Sask, where the opportunity arose to work for the Saskatoon Star Phoenix Newspaper as a printer. Allan was immensely proud to have worked there for 32 years. During this time Rita and Allan welcomed and raised their 3 children Deanne, Janet, and Allan Jr.
Allan and Rita built a cabin at Emma Lake, Saskatchewan, quickly becoming their favorite place to be. Lots of family memories were made here, and they will be cherished in our hearts forever. After retirement Rita and Allan moved back to the beauty of the Cranbrook mountains and stayed for the past 24 years. Allan got really involved in The Knights of Columbus and made many great friends here.
Allan is survived by his loving wife Rita, his children Deanne (Ron), Janet and Allan Jr, and his 8 grandchildren, Mike, Ryan, Chantelle, Mason, Chase, Ava, Emma, Easton, his brothers Pat and Dan Weber, and sister Cathy Quesseth.
A service to honour Allan’s memory will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Society. hsf.donorportal.ca/
