Beverly “Bev” “Gramps” Evans
1944-2020
Beverly “Bev”
“Gramps” Evans, 75, of Colpitts Settlement, born in
Sus on December 8, 1944 to Otto James and Essie Marie Evans passed
away Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Moncton Hospital, surrounded by
his family.
Bev worked as a supervisor at
Fawcett’s Mill before his retirement. He rarely missed
Wednesday night poker at Bobby’s. He enjoyed the outdoors,
and often helped his friends to call in moose. He was a great singer,
always making his own little ditties, and was proficient in reciting
the alphabet backwards when necessary. Most especially he loved his
family. His nickname “Gramps” was well earned and
extended far beyond his grandchildren.
He will be forever missed by his wife,
Theresa Evans; children, Kelly Bruens (Paul), Randy Perry (Tracey),
Bonnie Perry (Ivan), Darren Perry (Brenda), Keri (Jason) and Stacy;
grandchildren, Bradley, Erika, Brooke, Olyvia, Beckett,
Hillary, Catlin, Railey, Callie, Kayla and Mandy; many
great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma, Pat (Raymond), Marjorie (Jesse),
Charlene (Roy), and Gloria (Cecil); brother, Fraser (Irene);
brother-in-law, Delbert; sister-in-law, Linda; many nieces and
nephews.
Predeceased by his parents; his first
wife, Mable; grandson, Lucas; sisters Joyce, and Bonnie Christine;
brother, Fletcher, and brother-in-law, Ernest.
Family and friends are invited to a
gathering at Bev and Theresa’s home, 662 Salisbury Back
Road, Colpitts Settlement, on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 1 pm. It is
requested that guests follow covid-19 protocols. Arrangements in care
of The Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800). If desired, memorials to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
