1959 – 2020
Peacefully at dawn, on September 19, 2020 Elaine Pauline Guillou of Logan Lake passed away with her family by her side at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House.
Elaine is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Dan and her daughter Danielle (Mike) Bates of Logan Lake, sister Shirley (Colin) Forsyth of Kamloops and brother Calvin McRobbie (Tracey) of Langley. Nan will be greatly missed by her beloved grandchildren, McKinley and Bareck as well as so many nieces and nephews, friends and family. She is predeceased by her parents, Ted and Helen McRobbie.
Elaine was born at Royal Columbian Hospital on August 16th, 1959. She attended Port Mann Elementary (where she first met Dan), Len Shepherd and graduated from North Surrey in 1977. Elaine started dating Dan in 1980 then married and welcomed Danielle. In 1992 Elaine and Dan followed her parents, moving to Logan Lake where her and Dan opened Highland Valley Building Supplies followed by 13 years spent working the front desk at Lac Le Jeune Resort. In her years in Logan Lake Elaine was able to enjoy her passion for horses, photography and more recently golf. She loved spending time with her grandchildren as they were her everything.
Elaine’s family would like to thank the staff at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House, your compassion and quality of care is inspiring.
