Jim’s Obituary
Passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services, Meaford on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Ivan James ‘Jim’ Austin Whitton of Markdale in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Eleanor Whitton (nee Hill). Dear father of Scott (Abby) of Clarksburg, Steven (Kristina) of Mulmur, and Sarah Murray (Tim) of Mississauga. Cherished grandfather of Findlay, Spencer, Jack, Olivia & Callum. Sadly missed by sister Marjorie Matthews of Hanover, Ken Whitton (Lynne) of Meaford and brother-in-law Keith White of Markdale. Jim will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by infant daughter Jennifer, and sisters Patricia Richards and Barbara White. The family will receive friends at the May Funeral Home, Markdale on Sunday, January 19th from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Christ Church Anglican, 70 Toronto St. South, Markdale, on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with spring interment in Markdale Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Meaford Hospital Foundation or Christ Church Anglican, Markdale, would be appreciated.
