Joseph Walter Surette Friday September 18th 2020

SURETTE Joseph “Walter” age 85, of Brooklyn, Yarmouth Co., N.S., passed away peacefully on September 18, 2020, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on January 25, 1935, he was a son of the late Albert John Surette and Madeline (Moulaison), Surette. Walter worked at Killam Brothers for 35 years, then Gateway Fuels for an additional five years before retirement. He enjoyed baseball, woodworking, tinkering, camping, movies, and his cat “Snoopy.” He survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Doris (Johnson) Surette; sister, Bernice (Arnold) Milbury; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Walter was predeceased by his sister, Marge Fenner; brothers, Roy (Aintia), Lawrence (Linda), and Amos (Martha). Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. As per Walter’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Donations in memory may be made to the Tri-County V.O.N. The family wishes to thank the Tri-County V.O.N. Palliative Care Staff and Paramedics for the love and support given.
