It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our mother, Joan Rouleau, a beautiful soul who was loved by many. She left us suddenly, at the age of 82, on September 12th, with family by her side. Survived by her four loving children Mike (Leanne), Dave (Tina), Ray (Cindy) and Christine (Greg), her grandchildren Charise, Chad, Brandon, Peter, Katrina, step grandchildren, Nigel, Andrea and Evan, her great-grandchildren Emma, Elizabeth and Olivia. Also survived by her brothers John, Ron and sister Norma. Predeceased by her husband Ron and her partner Dave.
Joan will be remembered for her fierce independence, strength and loyalty. A fun-loving individual with a love for life and adventure, Joan was a stylish fashionista who always looked her best. She was a faithful member of her church, numerous clubs and organizations where she made many wonderful friends. [CR1] She enjoyed living life to the fullest and we find comfort in knowing she is in heaven looking down upon us.
A closed service will be held at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, on Friday September 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcome in her honor to the Covenant House Vancouver,
PROVIDING LOVE and HOPE to Vancouver’s homeless and at-risk street youth.
