WEENING, John – Passed away peacefully on Monday September 14th 2020 at the Woodstock Hospital in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Sandra Weening (nee Vander Kooi) (2020). Predeceased by his parents Ann and Fred Weening Sr. Loving father of Shurley, Ann Marie, Stephanie (Rick) Raymond, Joshua. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca, James, Janessa, and Jeremy Kirton, Joseph, Nicholas, and Jared Apollinaro, Brandon (Rachael) Weening, Sunni Mahil, and Celine Raymond, Keisha Weening, Taylor Myre, and Kyle Weening, Amy (Mitchell), and Brittney. Great grandfather of Paityn, Sylas, Makenna, and Emmerson. Dear brother of Walter, Peter, Andrew, Harry and sister Trudy. Predeceased by his brothers Frank, Sidney and Fred, and sister Trijntje. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family on Thursday September 17th, 2020 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004). A private family service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at the Hillview Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Diabetes Canada, or Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home.
