Duane Stewart Floyd Smith, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away suddenly in Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the age of 55. Duane is the beloved son of Stewart & Anita (Shobway) Smith. Loving father of Jocelyn Smith and gramps to Jaden and Harmony Smith. Dear brother of Vicky, Gary and Robyn. Grandson of the late Floyd & Verna Shobway and Roy & Helen Smith. Uncle to Waaseyaabinokwe, Teya, Luna, Logan, Greyson, Griffin and Bruce Colin John. Great uncle to Waabigiizhik. The celebration of Duane’s life will be held at the Walpole Island Evangelistic Centre on Saturday, September 26. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the service will be limited to immediate family and invited guests. Masks and social distancing are mandatory.
