Hyman Goldfarb
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hyman Goldfarb, after a life well lived, on Wednesday September 9, 2020 at the age of ninety-four. Beloved husband and soulmate of both, Joyce Goodman and the late Evelyn Newman. Dear father of Shelley Goldfarb, Mark Goldfarb, Robin Goldfarb, and grandfather of Alyana Angus and Emara Angus. Hy will be lovingly remembered and cherished by Joyce’s children and grandchildren, Clifford Goodman, Sharin and Adam Froman Sara and Gillian Baron Goodman, Emily, and Maya Froman. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Lionel Goldfarb, the late George and the late Nettie Goldfarb; and brother-in-law of the late Florence and the late Leonard Kirsch, the late Sylvia and the late Jack Diamond, the late Rita and the late Richard Rubin. Hy had a very close bond with his nieces and nephews, Susan and the late Ted Polisuk, Nancy and Fred Fitzhugh, Vicki and Marshall Coblentz, Linda and the late Phil Saltzman, and Joni Diamond, as well as his many close friends who held a special place in his heart. He was an intelligent man and an avid reader with a great sense of humor, clever wit, and a zest for life. Hy was a wise and successful businessman who enjoyed golf, travel, history, and the arts. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. The family would like to thank the staff of Château Westmount Residence for their exceptional care during these difficult times. Much gratitude to Dr. David Dawson for taking care of Hy’s wellbeing, especially in the final years. Contributions in Hy’s memory may be made to Alzheimer Groupe (A.G.I.), (514) 485-7233.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Hyman Goldfarb 2020..
