Yvonne Lanteigne

Caraquet – At her residence, on Monday September 7, 2020, at the age of 81, passed away Mrs. Yvonne Lanteigne, wife of the late Yvon H. Lanteigne. Born September 25, 1938 in Saulnierville NE, she was the daughter of the late William Comeau and the late Adèle Gaudet.
She is survived by one daughter, Liette (Michel Thériault); two grandchildren: Marie-Eve and Jérémie; three brothers: Wallace (Yvonne), Victor (Doreen) and Alain (Ginette); four sisters: Agnes, Lucille (Edouard), Celeste (André) and Aline. A friend, cousin of the family: Father Gabriel Friolet; a special friend: Sister Gertrude Babineau CND Missionary in Africa; two sisters-in-law: Jeanette and Paulette; 25 nieces and 18 nephews; as well as several cousins.
Besides her husband and her parents, three brothers: Léo, Laurie and Edouard predeceased her.
A graduate of the Université de Moncton, she was a teacher for 32 years. For the past 18 years she has been teaching children with special needs. She worked with the Jeanettes and Guide du Canada, Catéchète for several years, member of the parish choir for more than 20 years. Member of Club Bel Age, member of AFANB, member of SERFNB and Cercle Maurice Duguay.
The mortal remains will be on display from 7 p.m. on Thursday September 10, 2020 at the Racicot Funeral Home (49 Rue du Portage, Caraquet). Funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens Church in Caraquet on Friday September 11, 2020 at 2 p.m.
In memory of Ms. Lanteigne, a donation to the IWK Children’s Hospital in Halifax or a donation for breakfasts at École Marguerite Bourgeois in Caraquet would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the Caraquet Extra-Mural team for their excellent service, as well as all the friends and family members who helped from near and far during this ordeal.
Visiting hours: Thursday, September 10, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, September 11, from 12:30 p.m. until departure for the funeral.
