Albert James Taylor 2020

On Wednesday, September 2nd, 2020, in Picton Ontario, Albert James Taylor passed away peacefully in his sleep. Born on July 1st 1928, in Shediac New Brunswick, Albert shared Canada’s birthday; enjoying the fireworks almost every year with his family.
As a Young Man Albert moved to Southern Ontario where he found his calling in sales. Albert love to travel, and sales allowed him to see the many parts of the world when he was the president of Wynns oil Canada. In 1975 Albert, his wife, the late Sandra Katherine Taylor, and their two boys, Mike and Brad moved to Muskoka, where he furthered his career in sales at Huntsville Motor Sports.
Albert enjoyed the outdoors, often leading his children on long walks in the hills surrounding their home on Walker Lake or sailing on lake of Bays. He also enjoyed driving, seeing the countryside and getting together with friends. He had a great pride in his vehicles and would often talk about motorcycles he had while growing up and custom cars from his youth. His career with Rapid Nail allowed him to combine his love of travel and sales as he serviced accounts in northern Ontario for many years and touched the lives of many people along the way.
In retirement, his walking continued long after he could no longer drive as he would head out every day for long walks around Huntsville and the paths around Hunter’s Bay. He was active in the Trinity United Church as a parishioner and volunteer, assisting in maintenance projects and special events.
During the last few years of his life, Albert was challenged by dementia, and recently by a number of small strokes. But, through it all he managed to maintain the same friendly and approachable disposition that his friends and family love so much. He was a kind, gentle, loveable man who made friends easily and kept them forever. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
While Albert’s wife Sandra passed away in the fall of 1985, he is survived by his two sons, Mike and Brad, his grandchildren, Daphne, Emily and Lyndsay as well as his daughter in-laws, Jenny and Jacqueline.
Due to the challenges presented by COVID 19, a traditional memorial simply won’t be possible at this time. It is for this reason that a celebration of life will be held at a later date when friends and family can gather together in a safe manner. Please keep an eye on this website for further details.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Albert James Taylor 2020..
