1934-2020
It is with sadness we announce the
peaceful passing of Charles Patrick, age
86, of Amherst, formerly of Scotland. Charlie passed away
peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Thursday,
January 16, 2020.
Born in Coalburn,
Lanarkshire, Scotland, Charles was a son of
the late William and Margaret (Pickens)
Patrick.
Charlie worked for the postal service in
Scotland during his working years. After the passing of his
first wife June Harrison, and his retirement, he moved to Amherst, NS
and married Ann Patrick. After her passing, he married Hulda
Smith, of Oxford. Most recently, Charlie volunteered at the
Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter
Linda (Linda Carroll) Patrick, of Scotland and son William
(Billy) and his wife Jane, Switzerland; several step-children; special
friend Jeanne Martin.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church
St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where cremation has taken
place. A graveside service will be held in the Amherst
Cemetery in the summer.
Donations in memory of Charlie may be
made to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre Foundation, or a
charity of the donor’s choice.
