Obituary
It is with profound sadness, the family of the Late Shirley Squire (nee Nash) of Mt. Pearl, formerly of Branch, St. Mary’s Bay, announces her passing, at the age of 65 years.
Shirley has now entered into eternal peace. Waiting to greet her in heaven is her infant daughter, Maria; her Mother and Father, Lena and Joseph Nash and her brothers, Larry and Ricky Nash. Also predeceased by her Mother and Father-in-law Lewis and Annie Squire; her brothers-in-law Harvey Squire; Albert Squire and Ford Squire (Marge Deceased).
Leaving to mourn is her husband of 44 years, Don; her two sons, Ross (Leanne); Brad (Alicia); her daughter Dawn (David White); the joys of her life, her Grandchildren Kaleigh and Karson White and her infant Granddaughter Rylee Shirley Ann Squire. Also leaving to mourn her siblings Buddy (Diane) of Pt. Lance; Ernest of Branch; David (Angela) of Kelligrews; Cathy (Willie Careen) of Pt. Lance; Marie (Derek Phillips) of Mt. Pearl; Marlene (Pat Malone) of Mt. Pearl; Theresa (Pat McGrath) of Mt. Pearl and Cynthia (Kevin O’Keefe) of Mt. Pearl; her Brothers-in-law Ralph Squire (Gwen); Frank Squire (Genevieve); Sisters-in-law Kate Groves (Robert Deceased); Gertrude Oldford (William Deceased); Clarice Squire; Audrey Kelland (Charles); Shirley Squire (Joe McIsaac); Rebecca Squire; Charlotte Squire and Sadie Nash. A large number of nieces and nephews as well a large circle of extended family and friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl. There will be a visitation for family and friends on Tuesday, September 8 from 2 pm – 9 pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Mt. Pearl Chapel on Wednesday, September 9 at 11:00 a.m. for family only. Inurnment to follow at Gate of Heaven Roman Catholic Cemetery, Galway, St. John’s.
