November 19, 1934 – August 31, 2020

DUGAS, Marie “Rosalie” – Age 85 of Su Martha Au Bord d’la Mer/Seniors Boarding Home, Meteghan, formerly of Church Point, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Little Brook, she was a daughter of the late Bowman and Hélène (LeBlanc) Melanson. She was a homemaker, loved to go to bingo, clamming, bowling and bluegrass festivals. Rosalie enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards.
She is survived by daughter, Brenda (Leo) Lombard, Comeauville; son, Arnold (Debbie), Kingston; brother, Maurice (Portia), Weaver Settlement; grandchildren, Jennifer (Gaetan), Meteghan River; Daniel (Nicole), St. Bernard; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Ashley; step grandchildren, Melissia, Shawn, Nathan, Shala; 11 step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Benoit; brothers, Melbourne, Thomas; sisters, Jeanette, Paulette, Annette, Louise and Rita (in infancy).
Cremation has taken place under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home. As per Rosalie’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Church Point at a later date, officiated by Rev Honoré Kouassi. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
