Born in his beloved Nova Scotia and moved to Windsor, ON at the age of twenty. There he met his dear wife Evelyn (nee Elliott) with whom he shared 68 wonderful years of marriage. He was an amazing Dad to Diana Myny (London, ON) and a special Grandpa to Jennifer Myny (Matthew Wales). Great-grandpa to Raymond, Jonathan and baby-to-be Wales. Brother of Bernice Cooper (Upper Stewiacke, N.S.) and Darrell (Doreen) Chisholm (Lower Sackville, N.S). Predeceased by his parents John and Alvena Chisholm and brother-in-law Wyman Cooper.
Second only to the love of his family was his love of country music. He spent many hours playing his guitar and singing. He retired from Chrysler Canada in 1981.
If you so desire, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Es County in memory of Doug would be appreciated by the family.
