Obituary
It is with sadness yet appreciation for a life well lived that the family of Mary Louise O’Blenis announces her peaceful passing on Saturday August 29, 2020 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Saint John on May 31, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Owen and Ella (Patterson) Campbell and loving wife of the late Clarence O’Blenis.
Mary loved spending time with her family at their camp in Hunter Lake, where the door was always open for anyone to visit. She enjoyed playing bridge, singing, dancing and bowling.
She is survived by her children Helen Nelson, Harry, Barbara Long, John (Lori), David (Helen), Patty (Jim) O’Blenis, Donna (Lenny) LaRocque, Ricky, Val (Terry) Bizeau; sister Frances Mailman; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son Billy; sons-in-law Roger and Murray; brother Billy Campbell and sisters Ethel, Gertie, Bessie, Margaret and Claire.
Visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd on Wednesday September 2, 2020 from 11am – 1:30p.m. A private family service will take place at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or the charity of one’s choice.
Please note that physical distancing measures will be observed and masks are strongly recommended.
