Obituary for Bernard Peter Brown
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bernard on August 22, 2020, at the of age 59 of a massive heart attack.
Many thanks to the swift-acting firefighters and paramedics.
Special thanks to the dedicated ER Team at Joseph Brant Hospital for their valiant efforts and recognition to all of those on the Frontline.
Beloved spouse of Diane (Mills), and loving father of Simon (18 yrs), Joseph (14 yrs), and Phoebe (12 yrs). He will be dearly missed by his last living sibling Mike (Sharon); and all the family members, friends, neighbours and co-workers who knew him from his time in Burlington, Thunder Bay and Toronto.
Bernard is predeceased by his parents — Mary and Frank, his siblings Ted (Trixie), Jim (Adrienne), Mary Frances (Rauli also deceased) and Fred (Linda).
He will be dearly missed by Diane’s family, who are a strong support for her now.
We can also find much comfort in the fact that fun-loving Bernard has been predeceased by so many family members—including his daughter Jessica and twin brother Fred—that he too is surrounded by those who love him.
An ever devoted father, Bernard was very involved in all aspects of his childrens’ young lives — everything from getting them up and ready for school every morning to meeting their school bus each afternoon.
He was kind to all who met him, and had a quick wit and dry sense of humour.
He was a hard worker, and valuable resource of Hamilton’s Live Well Property Management.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no service due to COVID-19 restrictions.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 6, 2021 — what would have been his 60th Birthday.
