AUCHINLECK, S. Jean (nee Pike) – Passed peacefully away at the Agnes Pratt Home on Thursday, August 20, 2020, Jean Auchinleck, aged 81 years. Predeceased by her husband, Graham (2014); parents: Ralph and Mildred Pike; brother, Edward Pike; and sisters: Phyllis Pike and Irene Lambert. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: daughter, Debora Auchinleck (Gary Casey) and son, Graham Auchinleck (Violet); grandchildren: Sarah, Karyn (Kody), Adam, Katie, and Brandon; great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Daniel and Emma (and their father, Danny); sisters: Dorothy Shively (Gene), Ruby Churchill (Winston), Mary Butt (Clyde), Nancy Oates (Mart), Clara Oates (Bill), and Barbara Slade (Dave); brothers: Ralph Pike (Jean), Cyril Pike (Rita), Sam Pike (Barb) and Graham Pike (Angela); sisters-in-law, Daphne Power (Paul) and Bernice Browne (Jim); as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Thank you to the staff of Agnes Pratt for the care provided to our mom during the past few years. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Saturday, August 22, from 10am-2pm, followed by a funeral service at Barrett’s Chapel (COVID 19 restrictions will apply. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Jean’s memory may be made to Prostate Cancer (Canadian Cancer Society – NL Chapter), Alzheimers Society NL or to the Diabetes Association NL.
