Obituary of Jack McNicoll
McNICOLL- Jack Alexander McNicoll of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, August 23, 2020 in his 91st year. Jack is survived by his loving wife Gail McNicoll (nee Kloosterman); by his children Sam (Sandy) McNicoll Pratt, Jill (David) Wilson, and John (Sue) McNicoll; by his grandchildren Katherine (Merle) Kroeker, Jessica Wilson (Tom Griffin) and their children Parker and Kenny, Michael Wilson, Christine (Trevor) Kriz and their children Lilly and Forrest, and by Christopher, Andrew Jack, and Lauren McNicoll; by his sister Sandra (Bill) Attewell; sister-in-law Ann (late Herman) Kloosterman; brother-in-law Hans Kloosterman; and by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Jack was born in Toronto to John and Jessie McNicoll of Scotland September 27, 1929. He was a positive engaging man who loved tennis, badminton, table tennis and golf. He worked in the hotel industry as a controller for the Sheraton Hotel, New York and Inn on the Park, Toronto. He also worked in Edmonton’s Chateau Lacombe and the Mayfield Inn. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jack’s life will be held on a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).
