Pinkham, Percy Conwell Age 86,
of Coddles Harbour, Guysborough Co., passed away on Tuesday, January
14, 2020, in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish. Born in
Coddles Harbour, he was a son of the late Charles and Rita (Tanner)
Pinkham. Percy was a kind and gentle man who loved being surrounded by
his family. He had a love for the ocean, spending a lot of his free
time building his 32 foot fishing boat and sailing with his
grandchildren. Many people remember Percy as the Captain of the
Stormont Ferry for over 17 years. He was always full of stories and
loved making people laugh. He is survived by his wife, Josephine
(Wright); daughter, Patricia (Marty) Langille, Coddles Harbour; son,
Conwell (Tina) Pinkham, Roachvale; grandchildren, Sarah, Andrea,
Emily, Taylor, Jayna, Kelsey, Matthew; 10 great-grandchildren; several
nieces, nephews, and their families. He was predeceased by a brother,
Morris (Edith) Pinkham. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8 p.m.
in New Harbour Baptist Church from where funeral service will be held
Saturday at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Interment in
Riverside Cemetery, New Harbour. Family flowers only please.
Memorial donations may be made to New Harbour Baptist Church,
Riverside Cemetery Improvement Association, or the R.K. MacDonald
Foundation. Percy’s family would like to say a special thank
you to the nurses and staff of Cobblestone Cottage for the excellent
care given to him and his family during his time with them. Funeral
arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of
