Raymond Chevrier 2020

February 21, 1953 – August 20, 2020
It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Albert Chevrier, on August 20, 2020 at the age of 67 years.
Ray was a proud man, a devoted father, caring grandfather and loving husband. Ray and his wife Vivian celebrated their 40th anniversary December 2018. The love they shared carried into his dying days.
Ray was born in Gravelbourg and spent his youth working on his father’s farm. He went on to work at SaskPower in Estevan. He married Vivian in the winter of 1978, and made Bienfait their home. Ray’s career at SaskPower spanned over 33 years. He took pride in his work and often reminisced about his days at work and his work colleagues.
Over the past 10 years following his retirement, Ray enjoyed golfing, pickle ball, fishing and travelling with family and friends. His passion for travel is documented in the photos he took. He was the man always behind the camera.
Ray is survived by his loving, devoted wife; Vivian Chevrier, son David (Kelsey), son Adrien (Stacey), granddaughter Madisyn, son Andrew, daughter Janine (Shaun), grand children Charlotte and Eli. He is predeceased by his parents Simone and Marcel Chevrier.
The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to all the friends and loved ones who have offered support, meals, and sympathy over the last few weeks. We will be forever grateful to the health care workers, nurses, doctors, social workers and support staff at the Royal University Hospital, and the nurses and doctors and support staff who carried him through to his final days at St.Paul’s Hospital.
Our hearts are broken, but we will rise again from the ashes.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Raymond Chevrier 2020..
