It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ralph Thomas Hilliard announces his sudden passing at his residence in Cape Anguille on Monday, August 17th, 2020 at the age of 69 years. Born in Cape Anguille, Ralph was the son of the late Thomas and Suzie (Agnes Susan) Hilliard. He was also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law; Martin and Margaret Barry, three grandchildren; Brandon King, Courtney King, Christopher Hilliard Jr and brother-in-law Wilfred Collier,
Ralph leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife of 49 years Geraldine Hilliard (nee Barry), sons; Shawn Thomas Hilliard (Pamela Lucas) of Alberta, Christopher Joseph Hilliard (Sarah) of Nova Scotia, grandchildren; Brittany Osmond (Tristan MacDonald), Grace Woods, Travis Hilliard, Raven Hilliard, Ivylee Hilliard, sisters; Valerie Collier, Annie Hilliard, brothers; Kevin (Kathy) Hilliard, Wayne (Beryl) Hilliard, Mike (Joan) Hilliard, Albert (Rhea) Hilliard, Glen (Linda) Hilliard, Archie (Trina) Hilliard, Randy (Suzanne) Hilliard, and Don (Joanne) Hilliard, brothers-in-law; Joseph (Trish) Barry, Jim (Sandra) Barry, Eugene (Cynthia) Barry, sisters-in-law; Mary (Lorne) Wile, Marina Barry-Bernier plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends from the Codroy Valley and all across Canada.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rhea Hilliard and Minnie Hilliard for their care and thoughts at this difficult time.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. In the keeping with Ralph’s wishes, cremation will follow. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, 3 pm at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Codroy officiated by Rev. Faye Coffin. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Codroy. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Ralph’s memory can be made to the family.
