KNOX, Gertrude (Trudy) Karen
Trudy Knox passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on August 18, 2020 at the age of 79. Trudy is survived by her loving siblings Ed (Holdine), Elsa (William), Herb; sons, Jeff and Andrew (Andrea); grandchildren Brandon (Desiree), Sarah and Eric; great granddaughter Emery and former husband Bill (Catherine). Trudy was sadly predeceased by her sisters Irma, Herta and Adele.
Trudy was born in Germany in 1941, immigrated to Winnipeg with her family as a young girl. It was there she met Bill, whom she married and had two sons, moving to Kelowna to settle down in 1967. Trudy was an accomplished artist and shared her talent by teaching many in the community over the years. She lived each day to the fullest by walking in the Spirit of the Lord with her many friends in the church community.
Trudy and her family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Central Okanagan Hospice House and her close friends for the wonderful support and care provided in her final days. A celebration of life will be held by invitation only at Everden Rust Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 21, at 3:00 pm. Recognizing Trudy’s many friends will not be able to join us in person as a result, the family would like to invite all those wishing to attend and pay their respects by joining the ceremony online.
