Passed away at Credit Valley Hospital on Friday, August 14, 2020 at the age of 98. Cherished husband of Mary (nee Zuskan) for 77 years. Loving father and best friend of Carol Pfaff, Sandy Duke, and the late Patti. Beloved grampa of Jodie and her husband Brent Cator, Angie and her husband Adam Howden-Duke, Colby and his wife Tara Duke; and adored great-grampa of Sedona, Taryn, Nathan, Jackson, Irelyn, Caden and Madison. Dear son of the late Paul and Dora Solomchuk. Fred was predeceased by seven brothers & sisters. Several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Fred was active in the bowling and lawn bowling leagues.
If you so desire, memorial donations to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family.
A private visitation and funeral service was held at Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel, Mississauga.
