It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Selene Lovell, on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at the Northside guest Home, with her family by her side.
Born in Florence on December 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William and Anne Mae (Harris) Habicht. She was a member of the Florence fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and Branch 83 Legion in Florence.
Mom leaves behind to mourn her children Alex Jr. (Corrine), North Sydney, Joann (Stewart) MacLeod, Little Narrows, Velvet (Donald) Gracie, Boularderie, and Yolanda (Bill) Corke, BC, grandchildren Jason (Sheri) Jessome, AB, Crystal (Matt) Doyle, Halifax, Blake (Meg) Gracie, AB, Tyler (Joanie) Gracie, fort McMurray, Kyle (Jen) Gracie, Halifax, Kendy (Rodney) Clowater, AB, and Darion Corke, BC, 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, in-laws John (Carol) Lovell, Helen and Percy Jessome, Irene and Charlie Seymour, Colleen Seymour, Mary and Danny Harrietha, Ruby Lovell, and special friend Lloyd Harris.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Alex Lovell, grandson Patrick Jessome, sister Margie, brother in infancy, foster brother Charles Harris, in-laws George and Alice Lovell Sr., George and Georgina Lovell Jr., Elmer, Caroline and john Taylor, Joan and Thomas Carey, Marie Harris, and Bert Seymour.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, August 12,2020, at 10 am in Brookside Cemetery, Halfway Rd., Sydney Mines. All are welcome. Please follow Covid 19 restrictions. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Autism Society or a charity of one’s choice.
