1931-2020
It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Ethel May Morice, age 88, of
Sackville, NB. Ethel passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020
at the Drew Nursing Home.
Born in Woodhurst, NB, she was a
daughter of the late Grover and Lena (Buck) Crossman.
In her younger years, Ethel worked at
the Court House in Dorchester, then T. Eaton Company in Moncton, going
out west for a few years, then returning to T. Eaton, and finally,
after raising her family, she worked for Atlantic Wholesalers in
Sackville. She loved playing Bingo with her family and
friends, enjoyed a game of cards, knitting, or working with
ceramics.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter
Darlene (Danny) O’Shea, Miramichi, NB; son Tim Morice, Sackville, NB;
special friend Dale Gaskin; several nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Jack
Morice; infant son Todd; sisters Joyce (Mac) Estabrooks, Irene
(Harley) Stephens, and Dorothy Harrison; sister-in-law Marcie
Fullerton, brother-in-law Bill (Reta) Morice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St,
Sackville, NB (506-364-1300). Cremation has taken
place. A graveside service will take place for Ethel on
Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11 am in the Sackville
Cemetery.
Those wishing to make a donation in
Ethel’s memory may do so to CARMA, the Sackville Cemetery, or the
charity of your choice.
