Obituary of Frank Klassen
KLASSEN, Frank
was born on January 6, 1926 in Neuhalbstadt, Sagradowka, Ukraine to Anna and Frank Klassen. In 1957 he immigrated to Canada, married Anna Dick in 1959. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna, for 56 years. Dear father of Anita Harder (Jerry), Norman Klassen (Kathy), Barbara Fischer (Kevin), Betty Gillman (Mike), Sue Eagle (Harley). Loving Opa of Jonathan (Alison), Sara (Cam), Ian (Hayley), Christina, Nickolas, Gregory, Shawn, Anna Marie (Tim), Daniel, David, Danielle, Emma and great grandson, Mason Harder. Dear brother of the late Anna Klingmann and many late step siblings. Frank will be missed by many nieces and nephews. They built a life, farming together on Mersea Road 5, and they had a passion for serving as deacons at NLUMC, sponsoring refugees and working at local MCC thrift and meat canner. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Wednesday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Frank’s life at the Funeral Home on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 11 a.m. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Due to COVID restrictions, visitation at Reid Funeral Home is limited to a specific number of visitors at a time. ONLY THOSE WITH AN APPOINTMENT WILL BE ALLOWED IN. PLEASE BOOK AN APPOINTMENT AT www.reidfuneralhome.ca TO SECURE A DESIGNATED TIME TO PAY YOUR RESPECTS. All visitors must remain in their cars in our parking lot until their designated time and one of our staff members comes to invite you into our facility. Everyone must wear a mask. Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Leamington Mennonite Home or MCC Thrift on Mill. Friends may share memories at www.reidfuneralhome.ca
