On Wednesday July 29, 2020 Mr Joël Claude Thompson tragically passed away at the age of 30 years and 4 months. He is lovingly remembered by his mother Sylvie Carignan, his father Percy Thompson, his grand-mother Letha Thompson, his sister Michelle Huebert, his niece Jorgia-Lee Huebert and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joel was predeceased by his brother Daniel Thompson, his nephew Zachary Joshua Thompson, his great grand-parents Wallace and Laurette Normandin, his grand-parents Gilbert Thompson, Claude and Thérèse Carignan. A prayer service will be held on August 5 at 7:30 pm with visitation 30 minutes prior to service. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday August 6 at 2 pm, with visitation one hour prior to service. Both services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, (13 Brower Drive Sherwood Park AB). Father Jim Corrigan officiating. Following the Funeral Mass, a reception to celebrate Joël’s life will be held at Park Place Funeral Home (51 Broadway Blvd. Sherwood Park AB). Cremation to follow with final resting place in Trois-Rivières, Québec. A heartfelt thank you to everyone including emergency responders for their thoughtful and excellent care. Mandatory Covid 19 restrictions are applied at both venues.
