Ken will be dearly missed by his wife of almost sixty years, Yvonne, and their children Nadine (Cameron) Young of Pitt Meadows, B.C., and Vern (Tammy) Greenway of Rosewood, MB. Ken is also survived by his stepsister Myrle Chynoweth of Wainwright. He was predeceased by his brothers Allan and Gordon, and stepsister Marion Baker, and stepbrother Frank Baker. As a child growing up on a farm, Ken developed a lifelong passion for draft horses. For many years he raised, trained, and showed registered Belgians, competing across Canada and the United States.
