Stephen Frederick Steve Oxtoby Wednesday July 29th 2020

Mr. Stephen Frederick ‘Steve’ Oxtoby passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, Alberta, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the age of 62 years. Steve was born in Innisfail, to his parents Dorothy and Fred Oxtoby. They lived on the family farm near Bowden, Alberta, where they ran a Dairy Operation. This is where his love of animals began. He attended Bowden Grandview School, and eventually started hauling exotic animals across Canada and the U.S.; which started his career of raising buffalo for over thirty years. Steve had many loyal friends and also, was one himself. Steve had many hobbies, shooting guns and his crossbow, boating and photographing of animals, birds and all things beautiful; which he loved sharing with everyone who was interested. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his partner of fifteen years, Debbie Beacome; his two daughters, Tracy (Jeff) Palm and Jennifer (Kevin) Korchak; and his four beautiful granddaughters, Emily, Sarah, Isabelle and Samantha.Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.heartlandfuneralservices.com.
