Obituary
With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Judith (Judy). Our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all she met. She will be dearly missed and live forever in our hearts.
Born and raised in Flat Lake, Alberta, Judy was the second child to John (deceased) and Helen Ference. She married her sole mate Henry, which she knew all her life on August 13, 1966. They had two children: Rhonda Neulander (Jarrod), and Randy Rarog (Karen). She moved to Calgary in 1973 to continue raising her family. Judy was the proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Samantha Hawn (Cameron), Sydney Rarog (Tyler), Nathan (Mandy), Jackson and Jordan; and three great grandchildren: Jayce, Paisley and Charles.
Judy had a love for hiking, biking, travel and growing all sorts of plants. Her home in Calgary was a place of bountiful welcome and joyous celebrations with family and friends where cards, games and good time were always had by all. She was loved and respected by all. Judy was one of the bravest and strongest people and never complained about anything that she was going through. Her battle was long, but she fought it with dignity and courage.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (corner of Northmount Drive and Northland Drive NW on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 11:00am.
If friends so desire, and in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to Wellspring Calgary (wellspringcalgary.ca/donate).
