1944-2020
Norman “Ted”
Edward Strong of Lower Coverdale passed away at his residence on
Monday, July 27, 2020 at the age of 75. Born in Twillingate,
NL he was the son of the late James “Jim” and Marjorie
(Drover) Strong.
Ted retired from Bell Aliant after 35
years as a Technical Specialist. He was a member of the Moncton Fish
and Game Association and a member of the Rothesay Yacht Club where he
enjoyed sailing throughout the Atlantic Coast with family and friends.
He was an avid fisherman, and spent many years hunting game with his
camera.
Ted is survived by his daughters,
Jennifer Elaine Strong-Klefenz (Andre) of Halifax and Barbara Diane
Strong Muir (Jason) of Saint John; sister, Carolyn Molson of Ontario;
brothers, William Strong (Pansy), Haddon Strong (Marilyn) and Gerald
Strong (Shari) all of NL; grandchildren, Madison and Amelia
Muir.
Besides his parents he was
predeceased by his wife, Lynda Ann (Perry) Strong in 2013 also by his
sister, Barbara Pederson
(2015).
Visitation will be held at Tuttle
Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Friday, July 31, 2020
between the hours of 6:00pm – 8:00pm with respecting social
distancing.
The funeral service will be held at
the Moncton Wesleyan Church on Saturday, August 01, 2020 at
11:00am with pastors Brent Ingersoll and Dan Lamos
officiating.
Donations in Ted’s memory made to the
Moncton SPCA would be appreciated by the family, as he always
had a dog by his side.
