Obituary
WADE
Bernie
November 28, 1929 – January 12, 2020
It is with regret that the family of Bernie Wade announce his passing Sunday, January 12, 2020. He died peacefully at age 90 with family at his side. Last born child to Bernard and Edith Wade and a family of
9 other brothers and sisters on November 28, 1929 in Halkirk, AB.
The love of his life and purpose was his wife of 49 years, Thelma (Hayes). Following that was their life’s enjoyment of their 4 sons and the involvement in their lives.
A large portion of the enjoyment came through time spent with all of them at the family business – Wade’s Jewellery which flourished for many years.
Bernie was involved with many aspects as a volunteer particularly in minor baseball, the highlight was the Provincial Championship of the Hopewells in 1970.
Bernie thoroughly enjoyed many years of travel with Thelma in later years with annual trips to the U.S., and abroad.
After Thelma’s passing, he spent much of his time at the local golf course with friends.
Survived by sons;
Bruce & Jill – Kyle & Claire – Vaughn & Oliver, Steven & Martina – Dean.
Doug & Ann – Ryan & Therese, Kali & Christopher, Paula.
Phil Alana – Devon, Shannon, Caitlin.
and a son, Derek.
At his request, there will be no service
