WATERS John Jack 2020

WATERS, John (Jack), at the age of 88, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday January 8, 2020 at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie after a brave battle with cancer. Predeceased by his wife of 50 years Barbara (née Lawrence). Loving father to Lynn Marie Graham (Thomas) and Mike (Jennifer). Proud and loving grandpa to Mark (Stephanie), Steven, Meaghan, Caleigh and Braedan. Loving brother to Shirley Deguara and Carl Waters. Best buddy to Vic Deguara and a special Uncle Jack to many nieces and nephews. Jack will be greatly missed by his companion for the past 15 years, June McCauley.
Jack was known as a kind, loving and compassionate man, who loved his family and friends dearly. Jack cared so much for everyone around him and truly made this world a better place.
Jack was a proud and dedicated employee of ACCO Canada for 48 years and valued many friendships he created during his career. Jack was an avid hockey fan, always cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs and Team Canada. Jack had a passion for painting. His love of nature and water was evident in his artwork, which was often inspired by his long drives, travel and wonderful memories of cottage life and the good days at the Cabin on Lake Scugog.
Jack’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie and Raglan Retirement Home in Collingwood for providing him with such loving and compassionate care.
As Cremation has taken place, please join the family for A Celebration of Life on Sunday January 19, 2020 at 1:30 pm at St John’s Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium in Mississauga. Reception to follow ending at 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests donations be made to Hospice Simcoe in Barrie.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of WATERS John Jack 2020..
