Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mary Marguerite (Gormley) Bernatchez which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, July 26th, 2020. Born 1951, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Louise (Eagles) Gormley. Marguerite loved to travel and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.
Marguerite is survived by her son Jason Bernatchez of Saint John; daughter Monique Doiron (John) of Saint John; sister Linda Furlong (Lee) of Quispamsis; sister-in-law Catherine Gormley of Ontario; brother-in-law Gordon Holstead of Dartmouth; grandchildren Rebecca, Dylan, Samantha, Isabel, Abbigail and Zachary; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Marguerite was predeceased by her husband Claude, brothers Louis, John, William and Henry and sisters Evelyn and Donna.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A Memorial Service will take place at the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Friday, July 31st at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marguerite may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
