Basil Woodrow Buck Pye July 23 2020

Pye, Basil Woodrow “Buck” – Age 87 of Stewiacke, passed away on July 23, 2020 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Dartmouth, he was a son of William and Laura (Homer) Pye.
Buck had been employed as a steeplejack with construction work for many years. He later worked for DFO doing electrical fishing. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being in nature.
Surviving are daughters, Jacqueline and Christine; grandson, Dexter; sisters, Beverly Cook and Maxine Wood. He was predeceased by his wife, Jeannine (LeClerc); son-in-law, Winfield; sisters, Althea, Lorraine and Elaine.
Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Carma Cat Rescue Maritimes, Truro.
Many thanks to Dad’s “four favourite girls”, daughters, cousin Vickie who was like a daughter to him and little Christine who was like his granddaughter; friends, Ed Rumley and Bob Frizzell; medical staff, Dr. S. Ellis, Dr. C. Cook, Dr. C. Smith and nurses, Cara, Brianna, Breagh, Desiree and Sara for all that you did.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
