1931-2020
At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Thursday July 23,
2020 of Mary Alice Cann of Northam aged 89 years. Born in
Lower Montague, June 28th, 1931 daughter of the
late John R. and Gertrude (Kneabone) MacKenzie. Survived by
her loving husband Lloyd Cann, children Beverly (Barry-deceased)
Thompson, Marion (Eric) MacCaull and Marvyn (Helen) Cann. Grandmother
of Jennifer Thompson, Stephanie Thompson (Patrick Noonan), Melissa
Thompson (Kevin Arthur), Tammy (Bryan) Rodd, Deanna (Kevin Arsenault),
Angela Cann, Sarah Cann, Amanda Cann, Lindsey Cann, Shane Cann and 11
great grandchildren.
Sister of Christine Ellsworth. Also survived by many special
nieces and nephews and special cousin Corrina Gairns.
Predeceased by sisters Isobel (Harold) King and Ann (Bill)
Gilson brothers, Alfred, Roddy (Barbara Jean), Sandy (Jean), and Fred
MacKenzie and brother-in-law Albert
Ellsworth.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home in Kensington.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions there will be no public visitation or
funeral service at this time. A private funeral service will held.
Interment in the Lower Montague Cemetery. If so desired,
memorial donations may be made to Lower Montague Cemetery or East
Prince Palliative Home Care. The funeral will be available to watch
online on the funeral home’s website after 2 p.m. on
Sunday.
