Obituary
With heavy hearts, the family of Arlyene Thompson announces her passing, which occurred on July 23, 2020 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Arlyene was born in Fredericton on April 10th, 1935; a daughter of the late Henry and Beatrice (Kelly) Brown, and the loving wife of the late Harold Thompson. During her working years, Arlyene was the Office Manager for Richard and B.A. Ryan Limited, and she loved spending the winter in Florida. She is survived by her son Kevin (Christine), daughter Rhonda (John) Melanson, brother Weyman Brown, sisters Gail MacLellan and Delma Whitney, grandchildren Tricia (Phil), Sabrina (Joel), Melissa, and Justin, as well as great-grandchildren Charlotte, Brendan, and Alyssa. Along with her husband and parents, Arlyene was pre-deceased by brothers Norman and Glenwood Brown, as well as sisters Joyce Bennett and Norma Jean Murphy. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). In keeping with Arlyene’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated.
