Obituary of Dolly Muriel Lenora McDonald
It is with great sadness that I announce my Mother’s peaceful passing on Wednesday July 22, 2020 at her home at the age of 84. Dolly was the daughter of the late Wallace and Nettie Farrell. She was born in Ottawa on the 29th of November 1935. As a very organized person it was no surprise that she became a legal secretary in Ottawa and she retired as a tax secretary for BDO Dunwoody in B.C and then moved back to the Ottawa Valley where her roots were. Dolly will be forever remembered by her daughter Debra and her cousins. In addition to her volunteer work assisting residents of Groves Park and their fundraisers, she was an active member of the CWL for many years. Dolly was loved and respected by all who knew her, she blessed and enriched our lives with her great humor, kindness, up-beat attitude, compassion and generosity. She will be remembered by her meticulous fashion styling …and those hats. Dolly will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors but will forever remain in our hearts
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, Renfrew on Wednesday July 29th at 10:30 am. DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS REGARDING COVID-19, A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED AT THE CHURCH AT ANY GIVEN TIME – FACE MASKS/COVERINGS ARE REQUESTED FOR FUNERAL MASS.
