Obituary
It is with great sadness that we the family of the late Marion Brett (Wall), aged 77 years, announce her peaceful passing at North Haven Manor in Lewisporte, NL on Thursday July 23rd, 2020. After a long battle with Alzheimer’s and Cancer, she can now remain in deserved peace.
Marion is predeceased by her first husband Albert Moores and second Raymond Brett after 51 years of marriage (who passed just a few short months ago). She leaves behind two sons Darren (Bonnie) and Dennis (Elizabeth), grandchildren Jeremy and Dylan, great grandchild Oliver, sister Meta Watkins and brother Duke Wall as well as a large group of extended family and friends.
We remember mom as loving and caring person, who always helped others and her community. She volunteered for many years with various community organizations, and always managed to keep a sharp sense of humour, even through difficult times. She was a school teacher in young adulthood, a homemaker, book keeper, and eventually became a fisher person for many years before retirement. mom was an avid reader before sickness, she loved animals, especially cats, who she adored for her entire life. Most of all, she is fondly remembered as a loving person who cared deeply about her family, friends, and community.
Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL.
Any donations or in place of flowers can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Newfoundland.
