Obituary of Marie Jenkins
It is with great sadness that the family of Marie Elizabeth (Perrin) Jenkins announces her passing which occurred on July 21, 2020 at her home in Quispamsis, NB. Born in Bersville, NB on May 13, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Annie (Wheaton) Perrin.
Marie is survived by her sons, Dow Jenkins (Kathy) and Merlin Jenkins JR (Kim); daughters, Mildred Tonge, Inez Gilbert (David), Iona Doucette, Kim Chiasson (Kenny); grandchildren, Sheena Rogers (Lisa), Rob Tonge, Angie Cameron, Danny Chiasson (Colleen), Chris Chaisson (Cindy), Greg Gilbert (Amanda), Theo Gilbert (Tamara), Kenny Chiasson (Misty), Amanda Saunier (Jason), Merlin Jenkins III and Randy Jenkins; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Marie considered most of her close friends to be family and her home on Old Black River road was like a second home to many.
In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her brothers and sisters; her loving husband, Merlin; sons, Raymond and Randy Jenkins; grandson, Dow Jenkins Jr; great-grandson, Kyle Boyd.
Resting at Brenan’ Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB. With visiting on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 5-8pm. Guests are asked to enter the funeral home using the courtyard entrance, where staff will greet and assist you with the Covid-19 protocol. A committal service will take place in Cumberland Bay Pentecostal Cemetery at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2020. Donations in Marie’s memory can be made to The Thomas Woods Memorial Playground.
