Obituary of Colleen Bruneau
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Colleen Jean Bruneau. She will be remembered for her loving heart and amazing smile.
As the first child of Don and Susan, Colleen grew up in Hinton, Alberta with her younger sister and brother, Julie and Patrick. She graduated from Harry Collinge High School in 1986. In 1993, she gave birth to her first daughter, Shaylene. In 1997, her second daughter, Shelby was born. Shortly after the family moved to Vermilion, Alberta, she solidified her life-long career in financial services. In 2018, she married the love of her life, Dan, and together they built a life in Lloydminster, Alberta.
Colleen is survived by: her husband, Dan Bruneau; daughters, Shayleen Myhre and Shelby (Phaelan) Russell; step children, Jeannine and Brendon Bruneau; parents, Don and Susan Robertson; mother-in-law, Lousia Bruneau; brother, Patrick (Lee-Anna); nephews, Tye, Carsen, and Kale Robertson; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Colleen was predeceased by: her grandparents, John and Jean Cohen and James and Colleen Robertson; and her sister, Julie in 2018.
The Memorial Service in memory of Colleen will be held at the Vermilion Regional Centre, Vermilion, Alberta on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Colleen may be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.
