Kurt Rempel 1963 2020

Kurt Rempel
1963 – 2020
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of a much loved man, Kurt Rempel. Kurt was truly a loving and caring individual who often thought of others before himself. He loved to laugh and be with friends and because of his warm nature, he had many in his close circle of friends who knew him well. Kurt was born in Winnipeg, however his family took him to Snow Lake, MB and Kelowna, B.C. for a short time before they returned to Winnipeg. Kurt spent 8 years in the Canadian Forces where he saw several overseas tours before he moved to Calgary and finally to Medicine Hat where he loved life and friendships. Kurt is survived by his brother Michael in Kelowna; sister, Jodi in Winnipeg; two estranged sons in Calgary as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins throughout Canada and the United States. He was predeceased by his father, John in 2014 and his mother Dorothy ‘Dee’ in 2018. The family would like to thank those who spent their time with Kurt in his final hours, He was blessed! Lovingly remembered and always in our hearts! You will be missed! Kurt’s memory will be cherished without the proceedings of a formal funeral service.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Kurt Rempel 1963 2020..

  1. Kurt was my favourite cousin. We would often laugh uncontrollably when together. We both had a contagious enthusiasm for seeking out generally harmless excitement. Kurt would invent stories and tell them with artistic flair. For example, Kurt was a crossing guard in elementary school when a girl was ran down by a car. The police officer and Kurt concluded that the suffering was unnecessary and that she was doomed. The decision was made of sympathy to end her suffering… the officer completed the task with his service revolver…”Kurt that’s a lie” screamed my Aunt Dee from the kitchen. He was a very likeable and engaging person and I was lucky to be a small part of his life. All the best Cousin Kurt
