1966-2020
Hallett, Gertrude Mary “Trudy”, age 53, of Afton,
Antigonish County passed away on July 11, 2020, in St.
Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Charles
and Agnes (Pelrine) Bowman.
Trudy was a waitress for many years at the Moonlight
Restaurant before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She was a
wife to her soulmate, Robert, and mother to her four beautiful girls,
Jessie (Andrew), Jenny (Riley), Mary, and Amy.
She is also survived by brothers, Charles “Bunker”
(Maureen), Clyde (Jeannette), David, Kevin (Bernadette), Alvin
(Cathy), and Andrew; sisters, Audrey (Blaise) Bailey, Viola Grant;
brother-in-law, Charlie (Lisa); sisters-in-law, Mary (Don), Lorraine,
and Bonnie (Stacey); and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Johnny, Fin, and Edward;
sisters, Martha and Eileen; mother-in-law, Jessie Kennedy; and
brothers-in-law, Fred, John, and Mike.
Special thanks to our Hallett nieces and nephews –
your help and love has been greatly appreciated.
A private family funeral will be held on Tuesday at
2:00pm. A livestream of the service will be available on the
website of C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish. Burial in
Stormont Cemetery at a later date.
