Obituary
It is with heavy hearts, the family of Colleen Elizabeth Turner, loving wife of Steven Turner, announces her passing which occurred on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, on August 31, 1950 she was the daughter of the late Edward and Phyllis (Knight) Cyr.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brothers David and Edward Cyr.
Colleen worked in home care for 25 years, she loved to read, knit, and go to Bingo on Thursday nights at the HOPE Centre. Colleen was a very kind person and had a good sense of humour and believed in putting others first before herself.
Along with her husband Steven of 20 years, she is survived by her daughter Karrie Beth Rogers; sons David Rogers and John Rogers (Diana); cherished grandchildren Colin, Ryan, Carlie, Camden, Adriana, Drhea and Acen; great granddaughter Cali; brothers Phillip Cyr (Debra), John Cyr, Mark Cyr (Kathy), Christopher Cyr (Sandra) and Daniel Cyr (Wendy); feline companions Maggie and Della; many nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday, January 15 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Thursday, January 16 at 12 noon. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Remembrances in memory of Colleen may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
